Hainzenbichl

Die Burg Colmberg, von 1318-1791 im Besitz der Markgrafen von Brandenburg-Ansbach, thront auf einem 511m hohen Bergkegel über dem gleichnamigen Ort Colmberg und ist eine der besterhaltensten mittelalterlichen Anlagen in Franken.

Diese Orte liegen im Romantischen Franken an der Burgenstraße: Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Colmberg, Ansbach, Lichtenau, Stein, Cadolzburg, und Langenzenn.  

Im Rahmen der Dorferneuerung wurde das Pumpenhaus saniert und kann nun jährlich am Pfingstmontag beim Mühlentag besichtigt werden.  

Auf dem Gelände der Familie Pröbstl in der Füssener Straße 4 (frühere Hausnummer 45 1/2) stand einstmals die Hammerschmiede "Beim Schmiedfranzer". Heute betreibt die Familie hier einen Mühlenladen

Anfang der 60er Jahre wurde das Gebäude abgebrochen. Heute steht an dieser Stelle seit 1994 ein Neubau mit unterschlächtigem Wasserrad zur Stromgewinnung (kommt nur bei geringen Fallhöhen zum Einsatz).

The Ballenhaus is the only free-standing building on Marienplatz. In the Middle Ages it served as a warehouse and transhipment house. Here the carters had to store their goods packed in bales and declare them. The naming of the building still bears witness to this today.
